Being asked to switch heroes in Overwatch can really rub some people the wrong way, so when Overwatch streamer Saqib ‘LIRIK’ Zahid was asked to switch by a teammate, he just pretended not to speak English.
As the round begins, LIRIK and his team are in the attacking spawn of Hanamura, when the streamer decides to play as Overwatch’s newest hero, Ashe.
Ashe is still in that weird spot for Overwatch heroes just after release, as she’s been out long enough to be in competitive, but some players are still wary of teammates picking Ashe, for some reason.
Right as LIRIK chooses Ashe, his teammate asks him to switch to McCree.
“Are you fucking kidding me? First game and he’s telling me to play some other shit,” the streamer complained before getting on mic and telling his team he didn’t speak English.
“No Englando, no,” LIRIK said in his best Spanglish. “Por favor, no.”

The streamer thinks he has his team fooled, until the guy that asked him to switch starts speaking Spanish, much better than LIRIK was able to.
“No Español, No Español,” LIRIK responds, before laughing at how he was exposed almost instantly.
The latest Overwatch PTR update on January 7 introduced some changes that could shake up the game’s current meta, but didn’t include any updates or fixes for Ashe.
