Overwatch 2 Season 9 is here and as players continue to adjust to some major changes to the core gameplay, the top support on Twitch wants the devs to implement a simple change.

The Season 9 patch completely flipped Overwatch 2 on its head with a revamped ranked system, increased HP for all heroes, much bigger projectile sizes, and a new DPS passive.

While players have been critical of the increased projectile sizes so far with shots completely off-target still connecting, the new DPS passive has sparked its own share of criticism.

DPS heroes now reduce enemy healing received by 20% for two seconds after dealing damage, but for Twitch streamer ML7 this feature needs to be improved just a tad.

ML7 wants simple change to new Overwatch 2 DPS passive

DPS heroes are now able to reduce healing received.

During a February 14 Twitch stream, ML7 addressed the passive, explaining that it has one “big issue” that the devs should fixed.

“Not having a visual indicator for the DPS passive is what makes it hard,” he said.

The support specialist went on to explain that if heroes had something glowing around them, supports would know they’re going to do less healing and act accordingly.

“Right now, I have to guess! We need a visual indicator of the DPS passive. It feels weird. I have to guess sometimes. Of course, you can predict, you can realize who is being affected by the DPS passive, but even one damage triggers it,” he added.

The problem that may arise from this, though, is adding even more visual clutter on the screen, but ML7 believes this is something that should be an option players can disable or have it only apply for supports.

Another option that users in ML7’s chat and on Reddit have suggested is for an indicator to appear over players’ health bar or part of it.

The devs have already indicated that patches will be coming quicker this season given all the huge updates, so hopefully we won’t have long to wait for this quality of life change to make it to the game.
