According to Overbuff, as of July 1, 2024, the most popular hero in Overwatch 2 is Mercy with a 15.82% pick rate, Ana following in second at 10.13%, and Moira in third at 8.01%.

It is worth noting, however, that the main reason Mercy has such a high pick rate in Season 11 is thanks to the return of the Pink Mercy skin, not due to some major buffs.

Widowmaker is the most popular character in the damage role sitting in fifth at 3.44% and D.Va is the most picked tank at sixth with 3.19%.

Generally, as Seasons go along, you’ll find the likes of Ana, Moira, and Kiriko topping the list thanks to their great kits and intuitive design. It’s quite rare to see Mercy consistently at the top, but in the case of Season 11, she is for now.
