Overwatch 2 Battle for Olympus event dates

Battle for Olympus serves as the first Overwatch 2 event for 2023. It began on January 5 and will run for a couple of weeks, finishing up on January 19.

This time frame follows the same pattern as most Overwatch 2 events such as the Winter Wonderland 2022 event.

Battle for Olympus skins and cosmetics: What exclusives are available?

New skins for Overwatch 2 heroes are now available through the new event.

As is the way with Overwatch, all in-game even cosmetics are in keeping with the theme of the godly event. Given that Battle for Olympus is all about the Greek Gods, devs Blizzard are offering up some epic new skins for heroes.

So far, the skins available during Overwatch 2’s Battle for Olympus event – and can be unlocked through the battle pass – are the following:

  • Legendary Winged Victory Mercy
  • Mythic skin: Zeus Junker Queen
  • Legendary Poseidon Ramattra
  • Legendary Hades Pharah

Battle for Olympus 2023 limited-time game mode

During the limited-time event, players are able to compete in the new Battle for Olympus mode which sees seven heroes gain “special powers” and “divine ultimates.” This FFA mode is sure to test your skills in a whole new way but before you jump in, brush up on the full list of unique abilities below.

Poseidon RamattraDivine Annihilation

  • Ravenous Vortex is a large whirlpool that pulls in enemies then launches them upward
  • Pummel throws large water blasts that deal more damage and travel further

Zeus Junker QueenDivine Rampage

  • Lasts 20 seconds
  • Damage done with Scattergun has the chance to apply additional lightning damage to her abilities

Minotaur ReinhardtDivine Earthshatter

  • Lasts 20 seconds
  • Heals when he charges and slams an enemy into a wall
  • Charge can pin up to 3 targets at once
  • Charge cooldown is reduced to 3 seconds
  • Wall slams deal lethal damage, extend the divine power, and set the next Charge cooldown to 0.5 seconds

Cyclops RoadhogDivine Whole Hog

  • Lasts 15 seconds
  • Greatly increase your size, gaining 600 health
  • Hurl boulders that deal massive damage instead of his normal ultimate fire
  • Melee deals 5x damage and push enemies away

Hades PharahDivine Rocket Barrage

  • Lasts 20 seconds
  • Can move during the ultimate ability
  • Rocket Launcher fires 3-headed rockets
  • Jump Jet fuel consumption is greatly reduced
  • Kills heal Pharah and extend the duration of this effect

Medusa WidowmakerDivine Infra-Sight

  • While scoped in, enemies looking at you turn into stone

Hermes LúcioDivine Sound Barrier

  • Lasts 20 seconds
  • Always able to jump again after jumping off a wall
  • Boop can always knock enemies into walls for extra damage and a short stun
  • Attack and move speed greatly increased
  • Infinite ammo

The trailer shows off some exciting new greek inspired designs for the Overwatch heroes. With divine power-ups featuring some impressive power boosts as well.
