Some Overwatch players have reported having difficulty signing into Overwatch through Battlenet on PS4 and on PC early on July 29.
The issue seems to be affecting players attempting to queue into the game and are greeted to a screen that says there are 100 players ahead of them to sign in.
It’s also possible the issue is affecting all of Battlenet, Blizzard’s online service.

Some users have been receiving messages saying their estimated wait is over 120 minutes – that’s two hours.
Blizzard Customer Support has yet to issue a response to the long wait. Their last post on Twitter was at 12:30 PM on July 28 to remind users that Warcraft would be undergoing maintenance on July 30 from 7:00 am – 8:00 am PST.

Overwatch is currently undergoing its Summer Games event with special loot boxes featuring new summer-themed skins for its roster of heroes.
Additionally, over on the Overwatch Public Test Realm (PTR), players can test out the new 2-2-2 role queue and the game’s newest tank hero Sigma.
The PTR has other new promising features such as a rework to Brigitte, who now has three repair packs and a weaker shield. As well as changes to Symmetra’s teleporter, a new passive for Reinhardt, and nerfs to Orisa’s barrier cool down.
Many, if not all, of the current PTR changes are expected to hit the live version of the game in August. The Overwatch League is already playing with 2-2-2 role lock enabled.
UPDATE 9:49 AM PST
It would seem like players are finally able to sign back into the game and find matches. We’ll keep you posted if server issues return.
