We could have more information on what exactly is being revealed at BlizzCon in regards to “Overwatch 2″ after streamer Metro provided leaked information on the announcement they claim is legit.

Rumors about an Overwatch sequel or expansion started flying earlier this summer after a report of a Blizzard employee saying an upcoming StarCraft first person shooter had been axed so teams could work on Diablo 4 and the so-called Overwatch 2.
Now, Twitch streamer Metro has come out with new information about what could happen during the Overwatch announcement at BlizzCon on Friday, November 1.
Overwatch 2 is very much real and will be announced at Blizzcon after the short cinematic.

What does Metro say about Overwatch 2?
Metro claims that Overwatch 2 will be announced after a short cinematic featuring Mei, Tracer, Winston, and Young Genji that will also reveal the game’s logo.
The streamer didn’t say whether or not there would be any gameplay revealed during BlizzCon, but did leak that Overwatch 2 would contain both PvE (player versus environment) and PvP (player versus player) elements.
Overwatch 2 will be PvE AND PvP.

Overwatch 2 will also feature a “leveling system” that will affect how you can play your hero of choice, according to Metro’s sources, but he didn’t get any more specific than that.
“The leveling system is gonna change certain abilities of the heroes in the game,” he explained on Twitter. “I do not know if this feature is PvE only or also PvP.”

As for whether or not Overwatch 2 would be a brand new game, or just some kind of expansion for the game we have now, Metro said he didn’t know how Blizzard would do it.
“If I were to guess, they will move everything in OW over,” Metro theorized. “They might treat OW 2 as addon but change the entire branding to OW 2 for everything we have (right now).”
I don't know if it will be a seperate platform. If I were to guess, they will move everything in OW over. They might treat OW 2 as addon but change the entire branding to OW 2 for everything we have rn.

Metro also claimed that a new hero would not be announced at BlizzCon this year – with the Overwatch team putting all their focus on getting the new game/expansion out as soon as possible.
No new hero for OW from what I've heard. They are putting all their resources towards releasing OW 2 as fast as possible.

Since it’s only leaks, this information isn’t able to be verified at the moment, but Metro did say that they got the information on Overwatch 2 from the same source who correctly told them about Ashe before she was released at BlizzCon 2018.
Only time will tell if Metro’s predictions turn out to be accurate and he was right about Ashe before, so it will be very interesting to see what happens at BlizzCon in November.
