Dallas Fuel sign former London Spitfire support player

The Dallas Fuel announced another new player signing on Monday with the addition of support player Won-sik ‘Closer’ Jung from the London Spitfire.

Announcing the trade on Twitter, the Fuel included a video message from head coach Aero on the latest acquisition.

“The first time Closer played with the team I knew he’d be a perfect fit,” the Dallas head coach said in the video before heading into a mini highlight reel for Closer.

Closer is known mainly for his Lucio and Mercy play and has been with the London Spitfire since the very beginning of the Overwatch League, before that he was a part of Korean club GC Busan.

The Dallas Fuel already have two support players on their roster, Jonathon ‘HarryHook’ Tejedor Rua and Benjamin ‘uNKOE’ Chevasson, so whether or not Closer will see immediate playing time remains to be seen, but they probably didn’t bring him in to sit on the bench.

Dallas wasn’t alone on Monday in announcing big signings, earlier in the day the Florida Mayhem announced they were signing three new players to their wide-open roster for Season two.

Whatever else happens, we can be sure that the acquisitions and trades will go on right up until the Overwatch League’s trade deadline sometime during Season Two.
