BlizzCon is the biggest weekend of the year for Overwatch fans, and with all the Overwatch 2 news coming out, it certainly didn’t disappoint.

But the new content from day one wasn’t all developers had in store apparently, as a brand new Sigma skin was rolled out for fans on day two of BlizzCon 2019.

For those of you who don’t have the Virtual Ticket this year, Overwatch YouTuber Master Ian Gamer was kind enough to post video of the icy new Sigma skin to Twitter.

The skin gives Sigma a White Walker-looking, ice zombie flair, with icy horns, frost-white skin and flowing white hair.

He does bear a striking resemblance to Arthas Menethil, Champion of the Scourge and Lich King from the WarCraft universe, and the skulls on his armor only complete the look.

“Lich King Sigma,” as we’ll be calling the skin, does look like it would be the perfect skin for Overwatch’s Winter Wonderland event, which usually begins towards the beginning of December.

Overwatch is getting a set Competitive map pool

Blizzard also revealed at BlizzCon 2019 that they will be making a major change to Overwatch’s competitive map pool by removing two of the game’s most disliked maps from the Season 19 rotation.

Following the Blizzcon opening ceremony, it was revealed that Season 19 will also have a set map rotation of 12 locations that will not include the hated Paris or Horizon Lunar Colony maps.

So, aside from all the Overwatch 2 madness, BlizzCon 2019 seemed to have plenty for the current version of the game as well.
