Spurs rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama matched a rare Hakeem Olajuwon 20-point triple-double record with blocks and five assists in Monday’s win over the Raptors. This is the first time that record’s been matched since 1996.

San Antonio Spurs fans were given yet another reason to celebrate rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama after his historical triple-double feat on Monday night.

Wembanyama led the Spurs to a 122-99 victory over the Raptors while putting up 27 points, 14 rebounds, 10 blocks and five assists.

His mind-blowing stat line is one that hasn’t been seen since NBA Hall-of-Famer Hakeem Olajuwon in 1996, making this record one for the ages.

The last time a player did that was when Clint Capela put up 13 points, 19 rebounds and 10 blocks as a member of the Atlanta Hawks in 2021.
