A woman on TikTok claimed her tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour were stolen from her Ticketek account.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour was the biggest tour of 2023, raking in $1.04 billion with more than 4.35 million tickets sold all over the world. Along with the concert film, it’s the most sought-after entertainment venture of the last 25 years.

With the relaunch of the Eras Tour in Japan, Swift positions her new excursion as the biggest tour of 2024. Of course, it’s too early to tell, but it’s a safe assumption that she just can’t be beat.

But the tour hasn’t been all smooth sailing, at least for Swifties. One Taylor Swift fan on TikTok took to the social platform to share her stressful journey to getting tickets and having them stolen from her ticket account.

Woman on TikTok claims Taylor Swift tickets robbed from Ticketek account

Tiktoker @thesmeds uploaded a video of her explaining her experience in getting Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets through a site called Ticketek. It took her weeks to get into the system, and once she did (on December 3, 2023), she hit the jackpot.

The young woman, who goes by Becca, then dropped $659 on a VIP package, which was then deposited into her personal ticketing account. “I received an email confirmation and the ticket was shown up,” she said.

When other Swifites began receiving their VIP packages, Becca did not see hers arrive in the mail. “I started getting a little bit worried,” she said. When others claimed packages were being sent out in batches, she still wasn’t certain so she decided to check her Ticketek account.

Lo and behold, her Taylor Swift ticket was missing. She then got the runaround about the issue, with a representative claiming a “glitch” had released her ticket and someone else snatched it up.

Over the coming days, she tried calling and emailing to get further clarification and to get a well-deserved refund.

Finally, after her mother went to a local branch of the ticketing service, Becca was not issued a refined but instead received new tickets and (surprise!) an upgrade.

Many in the video’s comments expressed similar frustrations with the ticketing service. “I absolutely HATE Ticketek… their system sucks… I have tried every single way to get tickets,” one user wrote.

“Something similar happened to me,” said another, “and I went to Fair Trading. I ended up getting a ticket reissued by the theatre.”

The Taylor Swift Eras Tour continues its trek throughout 2024 with stops in Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Paris, among other cities. Swift will return to the States in the fall for a slew of more concerts.
