Lil Dicky’s new HAHAHA music video goes full Joker and fans love it

Lil Dicky enlisted actor James D’Arcy as the Joker in the music video for ‘HAHAHA,’ and fans went wild.

Lil Dicky delighted fans with the release of his brand new album, PENITH (The DAVE Soundtrack). On January 19, the rapper took to Twitter/X to celebrate the release. “Thank you for your patience,” he wrote. “This is just the beginning. So much more music coming.”

The album boasts 14 tracks and contains only one feature. YG appears on ‘YG Interlude,’ sandwiched between ‘I Met a Girl’ and ‘No Fruits or Vegetables.’

Alongside the album drop, Lil Dicky also issued a music video. Actor and filmmaker James D’Arcy dressed up in a full Joker get-up for the new ‘HAHAHA’ music video, a visual Lil Dicky called “the best music video I’ve ever made.”

Cast James D’Arcy as the Joker, quick! In Lil Dicky’s ‘HAHAHA’ music video, the actor donned the complete makeup and costume of the iconic comic villain, by way of Joaquin Phoenix in The Joker.

The music video was directed by Phillip R. Lopez, who has worked with Selena Gomez, Charlie Puth, Sabrina Carpenter, and Renee Rapp, among others. Benjamin Loeb served as director of photography.

Lil Dicky fans rallied behind the rapper and expressed their sheer excitement over the epic visual.

“The GOAT is back,” wrote one fan.

“Album is incredible! Nobody on your level,” said another.

“Put it in my veins,” declared a third.

“Such a damn good video. They just don’t make them like this anymore. Good work sir,” wrote another fan.

“Need I say more?” said another, attaching a meme with the words “absolute cinema” plastered across a photo of the rapper.

The rapper’s PENITH (The DAVE Soundtrack) serves as the sophomore follow-up to his 2015 platinum breakout, Professional Rapper. When he hasn’t been making music, he has been starring in the popular series Dave, which ran for three seasons on FXX. Needless to say, fans are demanding a fourth season.
