To secure your place in the MK1 beta, you need to pre-order the game. It doesn’t matter which edition you opt for whether it’s the Standard Edition or Kollector’s Edition, all pre-orders are valid for a beta code.

Developers shared the beta’s list of fighters, stages, and Kameo characters in late July. But a new gameplay trailer further highlights what players can expect from the upcoming session.
The preorder beta’s roster includes Liu Kang, Kenshi, Kitana, Johnny Cage, Sub-Zero, and Li Mei. Meanwhile, the Kameos are Frost, Jax, and Sonya. The Klassic Tower will also feature, alongside The Teahouse and Johnny Cage’s Mansion stages.
