Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest entry in Netherrealm Studios’ beloved fighting game franchise. As well as its standard modes, the game introduced a new RPG-inspired Invasion mode and includes a sizeable roster of characters.
The fighter’s roster is positively stacked with new and returning faces, including traditional characters and Kameo fighters.

Year 2 DLC Fighters
The second year of post-launch content was unveiled during SDCC 2024. In addition to the Khaos Reigns story expansion, 6 additional guest characters will join the fight:
- Cyrax
- Sektor
- Noob Saibot
- Conan the Barbarian
- Ghostface
- T-100
Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot will become available on September 24, the same day as Khaos Reigns’ release. Ghostface, Conan, and T-1000 do not yet have due dates.
Developer NetherRealm hasn’t announced which Kameo fighters will accompany the new batch of combatants.
However, series co-creator Ed Boon confirmed the following have been discussed in design meetings: Chucky, Invincible, Kidd Thunder (from Raiden’s MK2 Friendship), and Blanche, the old lady seen in some MKX stage Brutalities.
