UFC 298 will take place in Anaheim, California on February 17, as featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski squares off against undefeated Ilia Topuria in the featured main event.
After suffering a second defeat at the hands of Islam Makhachev in the lightweight division, Alexander Volkanovski is dropping back down in weight to defend his Featherweight strap.
Across from him stands an undefeated rising star fighting out of Alicante, Spain. Ilia Topuria, at 6-0 in the UFC, has dominated anyone brave enough to challenge him in the octagon.
Elsewhere on the card, which is only the second pay-per-view of the year thus far, is a steady dose of exciting matchups. The co-main event pits veterans Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa against one another as both aim for another shot at gold in the near future.
Undefeated Ian Machado Garry hopes to continue his winning ways versus Geoff Neal. At the same time, Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo tries to keep his UFC career alive against the daunting Merab Dvalishvili, as the former double champion promised retirement with a loss.
