Come July 3, 2024, Gru and his Minions will make their return to the silver screen for the fourth installment of Illumination’s popular animated film series Despicable Me. To celebrate the release of Despicable Me 4, LEGO has launched a quartet of fun-filled Despicable Me sets.

A stunning recreation of Gru’s family mansion, this set is accurately detailed inside and out. It features a rocket-style bedroom and an array of popular items inspired by the movie, but the interior could have been larger. The completed build stands 10.5 inches tall, eight-and-a-half inches wide, and four-and-a-half inches deep.
However, a fun-filled playing experience is sure to be had during assembling and playing with this kit. In addition, the set features a vibrantly-colored tree house to complete the scene.
There’s also a great ensemble of characters, with Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, Agnes, and Baby all reimagined in minifigure format. A trio of Minion toy figures (of Mel, Jerry, and Tim) are also included.

Although lacking mini-figures, this set is the best way to recreate Gru and the Minions. The brick-built Gru features posable arms and jointed hands and fingers. The five buildable Minions are customizable. You can move the heads of Mel, Kevin, Jerry, Dave, and Beedoo and change their eyes.
Each Minion is equipped with neat accessory elements. Mel plays the ukulele, Kevin is equipped with his fart gun, Jerry sports a maracas and fruit hat, Dave has a head propeller and walkie-talkie, and Beedoo holds a megaphone. In addition, you can turn the Minions to create a dancing motion around Gru.
When completed, the model measures 11 inches tall, nine inches wide, and six inches deep.

A brick-built version of the Minions’ party bus, this kit is a must-have for young Despicable Me fans. The set comprises 379 pieces, each of which clicks together to create a LEGO model that’s sure to provide young LEGO builders with a fun-filled playing experience.
The LEGO-reimagined bus features a driver’s seat and a rooftop bar. In addition, the rooftop can be lifted up and the sides opened to reveal a dance floor. There is a DJ station with speakers and electric guitar and piano elements. There’s even a hot tub.

Although not comprised of that many pieces, this Despicable Me set will be a great add-on to your collection. The kit contains a brick-built version of the Minions’ banana car, replete with a driver’s seat and removable engine, and several other neat elements and accessories.
The buildable workstation, for example, features special tools. There are also X-ray goggles, Ron’s dirty-diaper-disposal gun, and a banana. While Ron is preoccupied at the diaper-changing station, Mel paints a picture of a banana, Dave “flies” around with rotor blades, and Mega Minion Dave lifts weights.
The banana car measures two-and-a-half inches tall, one-and-a-half inches wide, and five inches in length.
