The building experience, although assembling the interior can be tricky at times, is rewarding. When completed, the model resembles a radio of yesteryear in a remarkable fashion. As such, it has great display value.

With its authentic design and retro color scheme, the LEGO-reimagined retro radio looks great. It features rotating dials, a window for the frequency slider, an antenna, and a handle. However, there is much more to this set.

Thanks to the inclusion of a sound brick, the kit actually plays sound snippets and effects when turning the tactile dial. Another noteworthy design element, you can place your smartphone inside when you want to groove to your own tunes.

We would, however, suggest incorporating a Bluetooth speaker on the inside of the build to bring it even more to life. It would have to be small, though. The set is only two and a half inches deep. The height and width come in at 12 inches and nine inches, respectively.
