Legends of Runeterra locks in April 30 launch with Bilgewater expansion

Riot Games

Riot’s new card game, Legends of Runeterra, will finally be hitting PC and mobile fully on April 30. The Patch 1.0 update will include a new Rising Tides set, adding the Bilgewater region into the game, and 120+ new cards.

Legends of Runeterra has been in beta for a few months now, but now the trigger has been pulled. Riot’s second standalone game after League of Legends is finally being launched globally.

With a new expansion on the way, plus a full rollout on mobile, there’s plenty of content to dig into with LoR Patch 1.0.

Mobile launch rollout begins on April 28

After a successful beta launch across the world, Legends of Runeterra is coming to all players, across all devices, once Patch 1.0 drops. While the rollout will begin on April 28, it could take until April 30 until the game is distributed to everyone.

For the time being, Legends of Runeterra mobile won’t be available for players in China or Vietnam. Launch details will be disclosed at a future date.

First week login bonuses

While it might not be the first week for some players, you’ll be dutifully rewarded for logging in for seven days after Patch 1.0.

Players will get access to a capsule, an expedition token, a golden chest, a champion capsule, a platinum chest, and a new starter deck as you login from April 28 onwards.

These days don’t need to be consecutively logged, so if you have to take a day off, don’t worry about losing your rewards.

Aside from all the new content, Region Roads have been updated to extend to 25 levels. You’ll be able to unlock the new cards — as well as some that are missing — with ease because of the increased length of each line.

Ranked is also being reset, with players being reset down as far as eight divisions to bring in the “Season of Plunder.”
