Riot Games have released a new original song in anticipation of the 2019 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational.
One of the things that separates Riot from other major game developers is their focus on producing original music, sometimes as an excuse to explore League of Legends characters in a music video but primarily to act as an epic sound track to their major esports events.
While the World Championship song usually gets the most attention, its not the only occasion for which Riot produces new music, and ahead of the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational they’ve released a new track titled Bring Home the Glory.
Riot seem to have been ramping up their music production lately. Not only did the 2018 World Championship have its own track, RISE, the event also debuted the immensely popular POP/STARS by fictional Kpop group K/DA, made up of League of Legends characters reimagined as music artists.
In January 2019, Riot then released another surprise single, Awaken, which was accompanied by an epic music video which saw a variety of champions facing off against each other in the various worlds of League of Legends lore.
Unfortunately for fans of Riot’s music videos, this time around the video itself tells no story, simply featuring a flag waving in the background.

The new song is a continuation of the Riot Music Team’s collaboration with Mako’s Alex Seaver, who helped write and produce both RISE and Awaken.
The Mid-Season Invitational is arguably the second-biggest event on the League of Legends calendar, behind the World Championship itself. It’s the only other occasion on which all of the major regions clash in international competition.
This year’s MSI set to take place in Vietnam and Taiwan from May 1 to May 19. The tournament will feature the champions of the various domestic leagues around the world, all battling for the supremacy of their region.
