League of Legends interviewer Eefje ‘Sjokz’ Depoortere is known for her ability to gain spicy answers from players, but she was the one doing the roasting at the LEC playoffs.

Who is Sjokz?

Sjokz has been a major part of League of Legends broadcasting since 2013, helping cover the EU LCS, which is now known as the LEC. She has since branched out, hosting the recent BLAST Pro Series: Sao Paulo Counter-Strike Global Offensive event.

Yet, she has returned to LoL and brought back that signature spice – casually dishing out some hilarious roasts following the conclusion of the LEC Spring Playoffs in Rotterdam, Holland on April 14.

What happened at the LEC Playoffs?

G2 Esports, who have been the dominant squad in LEC all split long, ran riot over Origen in the LEC Spring Playoffs final – defeating them in a comfortable 3-0 sweep.

While the scoreline of the match may have shown an easy victory on the surface of things, pulling back the curtain just a little bit revealed G2’s true dominance. The all-star European squad was able to take victory in game one in just over 31 minutes, game two in less than 25 and game three, the easiest of all, in a touch over 18 minutes.

Sjokz was able to spin that dominance into shots at Origen while breaking down the series with G2. During her post-match interview, the Belgian remarked: “Luka, was it difficult to lift the trophy? It’s 14 kilograms. Was it more difficult to lift the trophy than to beat OG in the finals?”

After realizing what Sjokz had just said. the watching fans gasped and laughed, yet Luka ‘Perkz’ Perković – who had been on the receiving end of the question – didn’t blink and gave a short chuckle before breaking down the team’s performance

G2 will look to roll their LEC dominance into success at the Mid-Season Invitational in May,where they’ll face stiff competition from teams like LCK Champions SKT Telecom T1 and LCS victors Team Liquid, among others.

Yet, being successful at events like MSI and, eventually, worlds is exactly what they built their all-star line-up for. G2 may need to be careful though, as if they can’t achieve global success, then maybe they’ll be the ones of the receiving end of a Sjokz verbal jab in the near future.
