What’s changing in LoL Patch 13.17?

Mage Buffs

Several mage champions are receiving changes in Patch 13.17 in an attempt to bring them back toward the middle lane. Both Lux and Xerath are receiving this treatment, alongside Zoe, Vex, Twisted Fate, and Orianna who are receiving general buffs.

Naafiri Nerfs

Darkin dog Naafiri has proven a force to be reckoned with. The assassin has swiftly become one of the strongest champions on the Summoners Rift, with Riot already nerfing her once. Now it seems Naafiri’s time has come once again as the developers look to clip her paws in Patch 13.17.

Jungle catchup XP changes

While the specific numbers aren’t included in the notes, Riot’s changing the way that catchup XP works in the jungle. In some cases, the average level in the game was trigger junglers to receive catchup XP on jungle camps in times that didn’t feel like they were far enough behind to warrant needing the boost. As a result, the way level disadvantages reads will not always round up and will sometimes deny junglers catchup experience in places they would have received it previously.

This will hopefully make junglers feel like leads they create over their opponent feel more impactful and punish junglers who gank constantly rather than farming their jungle.
