The release of Kingdom Hearts 3 is fast approaching, meaning it’s just about time to start taking an in-depth look at the many Keyblades that will be available in the game.
As the main weapon used by the main character, Sora, Keyblades are an integral part of the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
Just like in the past entries of the series, Kingdom Hearts 3 will feature a wide variation of Keyblades that players will collect from the different worlds visited and characters met along the way.
Exclusive Keyblades
These Keyblades are available through exclusive partnership and require doing a bit of legwork outside of the game itself.

These Keyblades are obtained by finishing up the various objectives in each world during Kingdom Hearts 3’s main story mode.
While there will surely be other Keyblades available based on the other confirmed worlds, these are ones that we’ve specifically seen in trailers and other official announcements from Square Enix.
Keyblade | World (Franchise) |
---|---|
Nano Gear | San Fransokyo (Big Hero 6) |
Crystal Snow | Arendelle (Frozen) |
Mt. Olympus (final name unknown) | Olympus (Hercules) |
Smile Gear | Monstropolis (Monsters, Inc.) |
Rudder of Fate | The Caribbean (Pirates of the Caribbean) |
Acre Wood (final name unknown) | 100 Acre Wood (Winnie the Pooh) |
Ever After | Kingdom of Corona (Tangled) |
Infinity Badge | Toy Box (Toy Story) |
There will no doubt be many, many more Keyblades for players to get their hands on in the final game, but these at least give us a taste of what will be in store.
To further get into the mood before the game launches, Square Enix has confirmed every world that will be available in the game.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is schedule for a January 29 release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
