343 Industries set the Halo Infinite Multiplayer beta live on PC and Xbox Series X|S following the Xbox Anniversary Celebration. Here are the playlists, modes, and ranked offerings that players can now dive into.
Microsoft and 343 surprised every eager Halo Infinite fan by releasing the Multiplayer Beta on November 15. This coincided with prior rumors of MP launching to celebrate the 20th anniversary of both Xbox and the Halo franchise.
Though we still have to wait for the full title to launch on December 8, the beta model of the Halo franchise is out for everyone to try.
Halo Infinite Season 1 will focus on the Heroes of Reach with a complete battle pass to progress through while teasing in-game events to come.
Halo Multiplayer Playlists
The Halo Infinite Multiplayer beta launched with a complete set of playlists for large 12v12 gameplay or smaller 4v4 modes for close-quarter combat.
Players will find everything they could want to recreate the classic Halo matchmaking experience that is finally available.

Halo Infinite Ranked Arena
There are three different playlist types for Halo Infinite Ranked Arena that includes a controller-player solo/duo queue, then another solo/duo for keyboard and mouse users, and finally one with every input type.
Ranked matchmaking is the heart of competitive Halo multiplayer and 343 are giving everyone options for how they want their lobbies to play out.
Ranked Arena gives everyone the same loadout that has a BR75 (Battle Rifle), Combat Sensor disabled, friendly fire on, grenade hitmarkers disabled, and static item spawns.
Ranked Arena modes:
Capture The Flag
- Aquarius
- Bazaar
- Behemoth
Oddball
- Live Fire

343 will keep these playlists consistently updated by introducing new maps or switching up the modes as they see fit.
The studio still has more to announce for Halo Infinite multiplayer, like a detailed look at its ranked system, which should be coming soon.
