Gameplay details
Need for Speed Unbound will introduce a consequence system with a risk and reward dynamic playing out before and after every race. Players will get to make bets which could go their way or cost them, should they lose or miscalculate a risk.
The game’s story will involve a robbery at a family auto shop that sets two friends on the path to becoming the ultimate street racer and reclaiming the priceless car that was stolen from them.
The game’s art style is heavily influenced by graffiti which comes to life as players ridethrough the city. The more players race, the more heat they build up. So players will need to outdrive oroutsmart cops using new escape mechanics. Escaping can lead to significant rewards or even consequences if they get busted.
Musical artist A$AP Rocky will appear in-game as the leader of the Takeover Scene, a new replayable precision driving mode that brings together the game’s racing community.
