Brawl Stars has a huge amount of Brawlers to choose from and unlock, so it’s vital to know which ones are shaping up to be the cream of the crop within the current meta.
A mobile gaming sensation that allows players to control unique personas called Brawlers, not all of Brawl Stars’ characters are equal in the game, as some are much stronger and wield far greater power and abilities than their counterparts.
Below, you’ll find where each character sits within our tier list – and while the meta will continue to change as new Brawlers and updates arrive, our rankings are up to date for August 2024.

Best Brawlers for each class
Draco (Tank)
Draco is a Tank-class brawler featuring a Legendary rarity. Apart from being capable of withstanding waves of damage, Draco can also cause trouble for his enemies with his Lance Stab and Dragon Solo abilities.
Considering the recent in-game meta, some of the best teammates for Draco include Sandy, Edgar, Berry, and Rosa, as they combine well with Draco’s high durability in battle. Additionally, Draco is a very good option against brawlers like Bo, Squeak, Gale, and Hank, as his Lance Stab ability deals more damage to enemies that are further away from him.
Berry (Support)
Arguably the best support Brawler in Brawl Stars’ current meta, Berry, is an Epic-rated Brawler who is swift in battle. Berry is not only capable of dealing massive damage to enemy Brawlers but can also heal allies by using his Meltdown ability.
Some of the best teammates for Kit include Buster, Lily, Doug, and Rosa as these Brawlers can benefit massively from Berry’s healing ability. Apart from that, Berry can be excellent against Brawlers like Carl, Jessie, Squeak, and Willow as he not only can nuke them with his massive damage, but also protect allies with his heals.
Lily (Assassin)
As an assassin with a Mythic rarity rating, Lily is an extremely formidable force in Brawl Stars. Having a conditional teleport ability with her Flourish ability, Lily can catch enemy brawlers off guard and then take them out of the battle with her Thorn in the Side nuke ability.
Considering the massive amount of damage this Brawler is capable of dishing out, other characters who can withstand the enemy’s damage or provide heals to Lily like Draco, Kit, Frank, and Bibi are very good teammates. On the other hand, Lily herself is a very robust and effective choice against brawlers like Ash, Mandy, Belle, and Griff.

Angelo (Marksman)
Angelo is an epic-rated marksman, capable of dealing massive bursts of damage to enemies from very far away. Additionally, his Welcome to the Swamp ability adds poison to his attacks, dealing heavy damage over time to enemy brawlers.
Given that Angelo is a marksman who prefers to stay away from the heart of battle, it is better to pair him with tank brawlers such as Draco, Frank, and Bibi. As a glass-cannon brawler with a fairly small health pool, Angelo can be very effective in bursting down enemy assassins and nuke-heavy brawlers like Brock, Lily, Colt, and Kit.
Gale (Controller)
Sitting in the S-tier of Brawl Stars’ lineup, Gale is a force to be reckoned with. He features two unique abilities, Polar Vortex, and Gale Force!, both for nuking enemies from a fairly long range, especially when super-charged.
With his arsenal of abilities, Gale makes for a highly effective ally for damage-dealing Brawlers like Colt, Piper, Nita, and Jessie. However, Gale himself can change the entire course of a fight, especially against brawlers who prefer dealing damage from far away like Angelo, Bonnie, Brock, and Piper.
Clancy (Damage Dealer)
Clancy is the latest brawler to join the ranks in Brawl Stars and needless to say, the Mythic-rated damage dealer is a highly explosive character. Clancy’s abilities, Power Wash and Torrent allow him to deal massive bursts of damage to enemy brawlers from a very long range.
Owing to his prowess as a damage dealer, it is wise to combine this brawler with controller and tank class brawlers such as Draco, Frank, Sandy, and Chuck. On the contrary, Colt is very effective against glass-canon Brawlers with a low health pool such as Bonnie, Lily, Piper, and Belle. Given that Clancy has been released recently, it is safe to say that the brawler will receive nerfs in upcoming patches.
Dynamike (Artillery)
Artillery class Brawler, Dynamike, is exceptional at causing explosions on the battlefield to deal area damage to enemies. Not only can he throw explosives with his Short Fuse ability but can also roll down a huge barrel of explosives with his Big Barrel o’ Boom Super ability – knocking back other Brawlers on impact.
Dynamike is a strong nuke-damage dealer and it’s wise to pair him up with characters that can complement his arsenal of abilities such as Tanks and Controllers. While Draco and Sandy are obvious choices in the current meta, you can also try pairing Dynamike with Frank and Amber for almost any scenario in the game.
