Xbox fans have been waiting a long time for Genshin Impact to arrive, and finally got a confirmed release date for Series X/S at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024.
Genshin Impact is one of the most successful gacha titles on the market, with a dedicated player base on PlayStation, PC, and mobile. However, Xbox fans have been watching from the sidelines since its 2020 launch.
With a wealth of content including free and banner-exclusive characters, different regions to explore, and regular updates, it’s no wonder the HoYoverse game is so celebrated, and it won’t be long until Xbox Series S/X players can jump in.
Genshin Xbox Series X/S release date
Genshin Impact will be coming to Xbox Series S/X on November 20, 2024.
This was confirmed at the end of the Natlan Gameplay trailer shared at Gamescom Opening Night Live.
The gacha will also be making its way to Game Pass, so subscribers can jump into the world of Teyvat at no extra cost this November.

Xbox Wire has also confirmed that the Xbox edition “will receive the same gameplay, cross-play, and cross-progression functions that other players experience.”
This means those on Series X/S can enjoy co-op with friends on other devices, and carry over progress between platforms.
Pre-order bundle content
Alongside its listing on the Xbox store, a $9.99 bundle is also available to purchase which comes with some exclusive items.
Anyone who pre-orders the bundle will receive the following:
- Hero’s Wit ×15 (Advanced character XP material)
- Mystic Enhancement Ore ×20 (Advanced weapon enhancement material)
- Acquaint Fate ×2 (Wishing item)
- Mora ×150,000 (Currency)

It may have taken over four years for Genshin to arrive on Xbox but it’s not long to wait now!
