Genshin Impact‘s version 4.8 is the final patch before Fontaine comes to a close. Here is everything you need to know about this version update including banners, events, and more.
Genshin Impact version 4.8 is the last update before the release of the brand-new region Natlan. However, HoYoverse has a lot planned for the players in the patch including a new character, a time-limited location to celebrate summer, and reruns for popular units.
In addition to that, HoYoverse is also introducing skins for two of the featured units of version 4.8. If you are interested in the upcoming patch update and looking to pull for a unit or save up some Primogems for the future, we have you covered.

Genshin Impact version 4.8 will be available on July 17, 2024.
The patch update will come to an end on August 27, 2024, based on the the 6-week cycle with Natlan dropping on August 28, 2024.

Genshin Impact version 4.8 time-limited region
In Genshin Impact version 4.8, players will visit a time-limited region Simulanka. This region will be exclusive to this patch update and feature the summer event similar to Golden Apple Archipelago in the past.
Simulanca is facing a crisis and it is up to the Traveler along with Navia, Nilou, Kirara, and Emilie to solve the problems.
Genshin Impact version 4.8 skins
Genshin Impact version 4.8 will introduce brand new skins for two characters featured in the summer event. The characters along with the skins they will receive are as follows:
- Nilou- Breeze of Sabaa
- Kirara- Phantom in Boots
Among these, Nilou’s skin can be purchased from the shop, while Kirara’s outfit is free and can be earned from the featured event.
Genshin Impact version 4.8 events
Here are all the events in Genshin Impact version 4.8:
- Summertide Scales and Tales: This is the featured event of version 4.8. This event will take place in the new region, Simulanka, and players can participate in multiple activities to earn Primogems. Additionally, players will also obtain a free copy of Kirara and her skin from this event.
- Envisaged Echoes: This event is related to the end-game content Imaginarium Theatre. In this event, players can obtain keys and use them to unlock special cosmetic effects for their favorite characters.
- Bing-Bang Finchball: During version 4.8, players will come across Basima the Fifth in Romaritime Harbor. Participate in the tabletop game Bing-Bang Finchball to earn rewards.
- Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens- Dew-kissed chapter: Players will meet Asagiri, the illustrator from Fontaine. As she expands her artistic endeavors, join hands with her to earn Primogems and other goodies.
- Energy Amplifier-Lemma: In version 4.8, players will meet the researcher from Sumeru, Hosseini in Fontaine. He has a brand-new Energy Amplifier with him, and he wants the Traveler to help test it.
