Genshin Impact players want HoYoverse to add more end-game content, with many believing there’s now no point in pulling for new characters.
The Genshin Impact 4.4 update is right around the corner, and soon, Travelers will be able to spend their Primogems on the upcoming banner. Both Xianyun (Cloud Retainer) and Gaming headline the 4.4 banners, but for many Genshin Impact players, the hype of securing a new character has dropped.
This is largely due to the lack of repeatable end-game content. In fact, once the main story and side quests have been completed, there’s very little to do in the world of Teyvat. It’s because of this, that many Genshin Impact players want HoYoverse to address this problem in a new update.
Genshin Impact players demand more end-game content
“Been playing the game for 2 years and this is the first time I really feel like there’s no point pulling/building new characters,” explained one Genshin Impact player. “I wanna get Xiao, Gaming, and Nahida but I feel like there’s just nothing to do with them.”
The player then went on to say how long it takes to max out each character, only for there to be very little return in terms of content. “It’ll take a month each to build each character just to do 2 days of open world content and 30 minutes of abyss each month. It takes like 50x the amount of time to build a character compared to content to play them in.”
Since Genshin Impact’s launch many Travelers have been requesting HoYoverse adds more repeatable end-game content. Labyrinthe Warriors proved to be a massive hit with the community when it launched in 2.2, and since then, players have been eager for it to return.

The Labyrinth Warrior event tasked players with venturing into the Mystic Onmyou Chamber – a unique Domain that hides many perils within it. Aside from the usual enemies, this dungeon housed various traps that Travelers had to navigate.
Currently, Genshin Impact’s end-game is locked behind the Spiral Abyss and Artifact grinding. This content may prove challenging for newer players, but for those who have played Genshin since release and maxed out their characters, it can be pretty trivial.
“I still enjoy the game but I noticed that building your characters leads to making them less fun to play overall, because you one-shot everything before you can use their kit properly,” noted one player.
“Tbf at this point they should add two more world levels,” replied one commenter. “I don’t even want extra rewards, just stronger enemies.” Whether HoYoverse will add more difficult end-game content to Genshin remains to be seen, but for now, we’ll just have to wait and see what this year brings to the game.
