Genshin Impact banners rotate regularly to feature new characters for players to obtain. The next banner in the game will see characters join and return to the gatcha title, so here’s everything you need to know about the current and next Genshin Impact banner.

Like most gacha games, Genshin Impact has rotating banners that players can use to recruit the game’s powerful five-star characters. Not only do these banners enable Travelers to experiment with different team comps and playstyles, but they can also have a huge effect on the best Genshin Impact characters tier list and pick rates.

The Sumeru region introduced a couple of new characters to the game with Version 3.0, and since then, more new faces have joined as part of the Version 3.4 update. Whether you’re aiming to spend your Primogems on the newly released characters or wish to try your luck at Genshin Impact’s banner reruns, there is always something for everyone.

What is the current Genshin Impact banner?

Alhaitham is the main 5-star release for 3.4.

The Alhaitham banner and Xiao banner rerun will be released on January 18, 2023. Travelers will be able to unlock both 5-stars, alongside a number of 4-star characters. The following 4-stars are featured in both banner reruns:

  • Yaoyao (Dendro)
  • Yunjin (Geo)
  • Xinyan (Pyro)

When does the current Genshin Impact banner end?

The Alhaitham and Xiao banners will end on February 7, 2023. This gives Travelers plenty of time to save up Primogems and spend them on their banners. Having said that, we’ll update this section should the developers extend this date further.

Genshin Impact weapon banner

The weapon banner has been updated again.

The Genshin Impact weapon banner is the Epitome Invocation. This 3.4 banner includes the following weapon rate-ups: 

5-star weapons

  • Light of Foliar Incision (Sword)
  • Primordial Jade Winged-Spear (Polearm)

4-star weapons

  • Lithic Spear (Polearm)
  • The Flute (Sword)
  • Rainslasher (Claymore)
  • The Widsith (Catalyst)
  • Sacrificial Bow (Bow)

The next weapon banner will also end on February 7, 2023. This means you’ll have the opportunity to unlock Light of Foliar Incision, so make sure you spend your Wishes if you want to add this deadly Sword to your collection. 

Next Genshin Impact banner

Hu Tao and Yelan will make their long-awaited return.

In the Genshin Impact 3.4 live stream, it was confirmed that Hu Tao and Yelan will be making their long-awaited return in Phase 2 of the update. Both banners will go live on February 7, 2023, and end on February 28, 2023.

Hu Tao is a must-have Pyro character and is one of the most powerful damage dealers in the game, while Yelan’s unique Hydro abilities make for some extremely fun combat scenarios. Both the Hu Tao and Yelan banners will joined by the following 4-stars:

Genshin Impact 3.5 banners leak

While the 3.5 update is still a while away, that hasn’t stopped leakers from uncovering details about the upcoming banner characters. In fact, one leak has revealed that the following 5-stars could make their appearance:

  • Dehya (Pyro)
  • Cyno (Electro)
  • Eula (Cryo)
  • Albedo (Geo)

Of course, like all Genshin Impact leaks, the 3.5 banner rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. We’ll be sure to update this section as soon as we hear more information.
