After some very surprising pool play results, the championship bracket has been set at the $250,000 Gears Pro Circuit New Orleans.
The headline match was OpTic Gaming vs Echo Fox in the winners bracket. After EF narrowly missed out on the top spot in pool C, they came up against their North American rivals immediately.
Despite Echo Fox’s confidence, OpTic Gaming looked far superior closing out the match 2-0 and knocking EF instantly down to the losers bracket.
And the next match in the winners bracket was just as stacked, as another two North American titans in Ghost Gaming and Rise Nation locked horns.
Ghost were fortunate to even make it to the winners bracket after an 0-2 record in pools in day one, and would need to up their performance significantly to take down a Rise team that had been flawless in pool D.
Another all American battle next in the winners bracket, as The Gosu Crew take on Elevate. Elevate managed to snag the top spot in their group thanks to a superior head to head record over Echo Fox, but Gosu Crew will be another tough challenge for them.
