Ubisoft’s new shooter XDefiant is now in full swing, the title dropped in May 2024, and has already established a solid player base.
With Ranked Play having recently been added to the game, XDefiant is quickly beginning to add many of the classic game modes players have come to expect from an FPS. However, the game is not without issues, players recently slammed the devs for the continued presence of a recoil bug that they promised to fix months ago.

XDefiant Season 2 release date
Season 2 of XDefiant will release on Wednesday, September 24, 2024.
This will mark several months since the launch of the first season, giving the developers at Ubisoft plenty of time to make significant updates and prepare new content for Season 2.
XDefiant Season 2 content: What will be added?
While the full details of XDefiant Season 2 are yet to be released, the official roadmap for the remainder of 2024 indicates that multiple new weapons, maps, and more will be added to the game when Season 2 goes live.

XDefiant Season 2 leaked Faction: The Highwaymen
The Highwaymen from Far Cry: New Dawn is reportedly set to join XDefiant in Season 2, according to the game’s most prominent leaker.
A Grenade Launcher, a Turret, and a Buzzsaw are among their leaked arsenal.
Once again, it’s expected the new characters will be unlockable directly in-game, much like Season 1’s Faction from Rainbow Six: Siege. You’ll just need a set amount of XP, and you’ll be able to get your hands on the new additions and their abilities.

More Mastery camos are on the way
The very same XDefiant leaker has also suggested three more weapon Master camos are on the way for XDefiant’s Season 2 update. Similar to how Season 1 introduced three new tiers, Season 2 looks set to do the same. The leaked tiers are as follows:
- Liquid revealed obsidian
- Liquid static obsidian
- Liquid revealed animated obsidian
