Xbox has had a fantastic year full of surprising reveals of upcoming games that showed future installments of iconic franchises like Doom, Gears of War, and Call of Duty. The games showcase hosted on June 9 during Summer Game Fest showed a stacked 2024 and 2025 calendar full of exclusive and third-party releases.

It thrilled fans so much so that many praised Microsoft’s exclusives over Sony’s PlayStation reveals. Now Xbox is back with a special broadcast on Tokyo Game Show 2024 where players received exciting reveals, gameplay footage, and announcements.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta Snake Eater

While originally confirmed in the previous Xbox showcase, a new trailer was shown for Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta Snake Eater. Big Boss’ first adventure looks incredible, and we can’t wait to eat some pretty tasty animals in the future.

Overwatch 2 is receiving new skins based on characters from My Hero Academia. While the manga may have ended, players can dress up like the series’ heroes, including All Might and Deku. This will be available to Game Pass subscribers.

Age of Mythology: Immortal Pillars

Age of Mythology is receiving an expansion that will add factions and monsters from Asian mythology into the game. The Immortal Pillars DLC lacks a release date, but can be wishlist now.

Starcraft Remastered & Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty – November 5

Phil Spencer revealed that Starcraft Remastered and Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty are coming to PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on November 5. Having two of the best strategy games of all time is a huge boon to the service and gives us hope that the series isn’t dead just yet.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – December 9

Naturally, one of the biggest Xbox games of the year made a showing. The trailer mostly focused on Indiana Jones & the Great Circle‘s Japanese localization and didn’t reveal anything new, though it confirmed that the game is coming this year.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch on December 9 with a day one launch on Game Pass.

Tanuki Pon’s Summer

A trailer was shown for Tanuki Pon’s Summer, a game where you play an adorable racoon who helps out in a small town. Kind of like if Tom Nook was the protagonist of his own Tony Hawks spin-off game, as he pulls off tricks in an effort to deliver stuff on time.

Tanuki Pon’s Summer can be wishlisted now on Xbox and PC.

Threads of Time

FragPunk Beta Test – October 10

The highly-anticipated 5v5 hero shooter that combines card games with gunplay is bringing its next beta test to Xbox systems. This beta test will introduce heroes, like Spider (seen above), as well as new Shard Cards that will change how you play the game.

The FragPunk Closed Beta Test on Xbox and PC (with Crossplay) begins October 10, with registrations open now.

Metaphor: ReFantazio – October 11

The latest game by Atlus was shown during the showcase ahead of its impending release. Unfortunately, there was no word regarding a Game Pass launch, like with the previous Persona ports or Soul Hackers 2. A demo was launched, however, with progress carrying over to the main game.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land will be released on March 21, 2025, for Xbox systems and PC.

Xbox fans were given a new gameplay trailer for Dragon Quest III HD-2D, showing off one of the dungeons and one of the new vocations (aka, character classes) called the Monster Wrangler. The new beast-fighting mechanic and Monster Arena were also shown. Unfortunately, no word on a Game Pass launch.

Trials of Mana – Available Today

The 3D remake of the third Seiken Densetsu game is finally coming to Xbox. This is a fantastic action RPG with multiple characters that you select at the start of the game, which changes how the story functions, while the split job system lets you walk the path of light or darkness.

Legend of Mana – Available Today
