Wuthering Waves has a whole host of elements (Abilities) that the characters (Resonators) use in the game and here’s how they work.

Wuthering Waves, similar to Genshin Impact has elements that are called abilities in the game and are used by Resonators. These elements have specific properties and they define the functioning of your favorite character.

It is essential that you set up your party in a way where the elements of the Resonators synergize with each other and counter the enemies. So, here’s what you need to know about each element in the game.

Every element in Wuthering Waves explained

Each Resonator specializes in a different element.

As of writing, Wuthering Waves includes 6 different elements to choose from. The elements and their descriptions have been discussed below:

  • Aero (Air): Associated with the Wind element and defined as the ability to manipulate airflow.
  • Glacio (Ice): Associated with the Ice element and defined as the ability to cool down and freeze enemies.
  • Electro (Electric): Associated with the Lightning element and defined as the ability to displace charges.
  • Fusion (Fire): Associated with the Fire element and defined as the ability to heat and ignite targets.
  • Havoc (Dark/Chaos): Defined as the ability to destroy and annihilate matter.
  • Spectro (Light): Defined as the ability to bind photons.

Every Resonator and their element

Every Resonator in the game is categorized under one of these elemental categories. It is up to the player to decide which element is effective against a particular boss and choose your Resonators accordingly.
