The most substantial bargains are often found during the Summer and Winter sales. These highly-anticipated events offer substantial markdowns on some of the most celebrated RPGs and shooting games, as well as great hidden gems.

Next Steam sale date in 2024
Steam’s next sale is the Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Fest which kicked off on September 16 and ends on September 23, 2024.
This sale has a focus on vehicle-centric games and some you can grab at a discount right now include:

- The Crew Motorfest – $20.99 (83% off)
- Riders Republic – $9.99 (75% off)
- Forza Horizon 4 – $11.99 (80% off)
There’s also a PlayStation Publisher sale on Steam right now that’s set to end on September 19, 2024. It features some of the most popular PlayStation releases at discounted prices, including:

- Ratchet & Clank: A Rift Apart $35.99 – (40% off)

How long do sales last?
Each Steam sale varies in duration, with some lasting just a few days. For example, Steam Next Fest only gives players a week to purchase games at a discounted price.
However, the biggest ones (Summer and Winter) last for two weeks and usually have the heaviest discounts.

When is the next Steam Next Fest?
The next Steam Next Fest will take place on October 14, and run until October 24.
