Ubisoft Forward 2024 is one of the major annual gaming events where Ubisoft reveals detailed insights about upcoming releases. This year’s showcase took place on June 10 at 12 pm PT and featured updates on games like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws.
Ubisoft Forward 2023 focused on some great games like Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, Skull and Bones, The Crew Motorfest, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, so fans were excited to see what Ubisoft had in store.

Star Wars Outlaws – August 30, 2024
After a brief orchestral performance, Ubisoft provided a new deep dive on Star Wars Outlaws, including a gameplay walkthrough. The showcase, narrated by game director Mathias Karlson, showed off the game’s open world, ship combat, traversal, and even some minigames. Star Wars Outlaws releases on August 30, 2024.
XDefiant Season 1 – July 2, 2024
Next, Ubisoft revealed the next faction coming to the recently released FPS XDefiant: GSK from Rainbow Six. It also announced a new Capture the Flag mode and additional weapons, skins, and more coming to the game. All this will be added in Season 1, which starts on July 2.
Skull and Bones
Ubisoft also highlighted Skull and Bones’ new season, plus new content coming to the game. This includes festival events that allow players to compete for prizes. The game will also receive community requests features. Finally, the devs announced Season Three, Into the Dragon’s Wake, which features a flying dragon and 5v5 mode.
Prince of Persia
The devs behind this year’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown have announced new content coming to the game. This includes new story content called Mask of Darkness which adds new levels, outfits, and more. It will release in September 2024.
Ubisoft also announced the first free update for The Rogue Prince of Persia, The Temple of Fire, which adds new mobs and weapons.
Finally, Ubisoft teased the long-awaited Sands of Time remake with a 2026 release window.
Rocksmith+
Ubisoft briefly discussed its guitar learning software Rocksmith+.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora The Skybreaker – July 16, 2024
A story update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was announced called The Sky Breaker. It appears to pit the Na’vi against the RDA and its mechs, who wreak havoc amid a Na’vi festival. It will release on July 16, 2024.
The Crew Motorfest: Chase Squad – November 2024
The Crew Motorfest is getting more content for players to explore, including a world based on the Hawaiian island Maui. The update, called Chase Squad, will be released in November 2024.
Anno 117: Pax Romana – 2025
Ubisoft announced Anno 117: Pax Romana, a strategy game set in the Roman empire. Players will serve as governor, deciding how they want to lead. It will release in 2025 on both PC and console.
Monolopy, Riders Republic & more
The showcase included a rapid-fire section with various announcements and updates on smaller Ubisoft titles like Riders Republic and Monopoly. Important announcements and dates are as follows:

Assassin’s Creed Shadows – November 15, 2024
Following another performance, Ubisoft shifted focus to the next Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Game director Charles Benoit came onstage to discuss the title, which follows a samurai and shinobi, providing different perspectives on this era of Japanese history.
Benoit discussed the seasons mechanic, which will impact gameplay depending on the weather and in-game time of year.
We also got to see several minutes of gameplay. This includes Yasuke completing a quest by speaking to townsfolk to learn more about his target. Once he finds the person in question, he fights him, showing off Shadows’ brutal combat.
The extended gameplay walkthrough also includes a cutscene between Yasuke and Naoe, followed by a Naoe gameplay sequence. As expected, the shinobi focuses on stealth, sneaking around a castle and striking foes with quick assassinations. She can also non-lethally take out targets by dragging them out of sight and knocking them out.
Assassins Creed Shadows releases on November 15, 2024.
