EA/Respawn EntertainmentThe Titanfall battle royale will reportedly not feature Titans.

Popular streamers, including Dr Disrespect, shroud and Gotaga, are said to have attended a play test of the game in Los Angeles, and one streamer (remaining anonymous) gave it a glowing review.

On February 3, a number of reports claim that the Super Bowl will be chosen for the big announcement.

Games industry analyst Daniel Ahmed, via Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, says from “what he has heard”, an announcement for Apex Legends will take place at the Super Bowl. Kotaku’s Jason Schreier reported that it would “perhaps” be announced during or around the big match.

Running a promotion during the Super Bowl would be massive exposure for the game, although at great expense – presumably no issue with backing from EA.

EA also have BioWare’s Anthem releasing later in February, so perhaps there will be promotion for both titles, if they have in fact paid for an ad slot during the Super Bowl.

We will keep this story updated as more details about the rumored Apex Legends announcement and release become available. It is believed to be coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
