A new trailer for Persona 5 Royal shows elusive protagonist group the Phantom Thieves in action as they get ready to take over the PlayStation 4 in March 2020.
While this isn’t the team’s first rodeo, the updated version of Persona 5 promises to make improvements and add a whole host of new content to the game – including social links, a whole new semester, and more.
Atlus has released a new trailer for the Japanese role-playing title, and it looks just as stylish and as sleek as fans of the series would expect it to be.
The Phantom Thieves are back
One of the new additions to the Phantom Thieves, Kasumi Yoshizawa, has proven to be a fan-favorite ever since her reveal back in April 2019, and the new English dubbed video shows her in a bit more depth.
Voice actor, Laura Post, lends her talents to the character, who shows off a closer look at Cendrillon – a Persona based off the fairy tale Cinderella.
It also showcases her battle skills, as she wipes out enemies and strikes her ‘Beauty is Devotion’ finishing pose after the fight concludes, looking truly fierce as she does so.

The trailer also gives us a glimpse at the existing cast as well for those who didn’t experience the original game – main protagonist Akira Kurusu and his friends Ann Takamaki, Morgana, Yusuke Kitagawa, Ryuji Sakamato, Makoto Nijima, Goro Akechi, and Futaba Sakura – as they eliminate opponents and win fights.
The JRPG title follows in the footsteps of Persona 4, as an enhanced version of the 2008 game called Golden was later released in 2012 and included new dungeons, social links, characters, and more.
Royal releases on March 31 on PlayStation 4, and The Phantom Strikers – a spinoff crossover title between Koei Tecmo and Atlus – is said to drop sometime in 2020 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
