Payday 3 features a bunch of colorful characters to bring on your capers. But how many playable heisters are available, and will more be joining them in future updates?
The Payday franchise features a variety of fun characters. Across both games, over 20 different playable characters have been featured, with diverse nationalities, genders, and personalities.
Payday 3 has returned to a more grounded theme rather than the sillier tone it took in the later years of its predecessor’s life. So not every heister from Payday 2 has made an appearance in the new game.
All Payday 3 heisters
Eight playable heisters are currently available in Payday 3, with two being added post-launch as free content.

- Pearl
- Clover
- Houston
Furthermore, according to the Payday 3 FAQ, Simon Kerr, Pete Gold, Damion Poitier, and Siu-See Hung have reprised their roles as Dallas, Hoxton, Chains, and Joy respectively. Wolf is voiced by Nicklas Berglund, replacing Ulf Andersson.

Pearl, on the other hand, is a brand new character introduced for Payday 3. She is described in-game as a “master con artist and infiltrator”. She is voiced by Rebecca LaChance, who has also voiced characters in Horizon Forbidden West and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
What new heisters could be coming in the future?
Aoife Duffin reprised her role as Clover, another fan favorite from Payday 2, in the Boys In Blue DLC on June 27th, 2024. Houston also came back, voiced by Derek Ray again, in the Fear and Greed update on 16th September. Despite releasing alongside DLC, both characters are available for free for all players.
More characters may be added later down the line. Payday 2 only launched with four heisters, but a further 18 were added in later DLC and content updates.
