The Panther Statue in GTA Online‘s Cayo Perico heist is worth a massive amount of money but you’ll have to get your hands on it first. 

Most GTA Online heists follow a pretty linear structure with players identifying the target, stealing it, and evading the police to escape. The Cayo Perico heist is a bit trickier, however, and you can also take on the whole thing solo. 

The Panther Statue is the most coveted target in Cayo Perico but it’s not always available. For when it is, however, we’ve got a breakdown of exactly how to get it.

Is the Panther statue available in GTA Online?

Unfortunately, following the most recent GTA Online update, the Panther Statue isn’t currently available in GTA Online. 

When the Statue is back, however, follow these steps to claim it:

1. Select the Panther Statue as your heist target once you’ve completed the heist setup.
2. Choose your approach for the Cayo Perico Heist.
3. Jump into the heist.
4. Steal the statue!

How to change heist target in GTA Online

You’re not always guaranteed to the Panther Statue even when it’s in the game.

You’ll first need to change your target to see if it’s available which you can do by following these steps:

1. Load into GTA Online.
2. Visit your Heist setup room.
3. Start the Cayo Perico heist.
4. Fly across the map in the Velum plane, before starting the minigame to pick your target.
5. Check out your Cayo Perico target.
6. If it’s not a Panther Statue or Pink Diamond target – restart the mission and repeat the process.
