Here are all the different game modes included in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and what each involves.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions gives fans of the beloved franchise a chance to finally jump on their broomsticks and battle against each other on the Quidditch field.
Following the success of Hogwarts Legacy, developer Portkey Games revealed that they would once again be collaborating with Warner Bros. Games to fulfill fans’ wishes and create a Quidditch game.
Iconic characters from the Harry Potter series are playable, including the Weasleys and Draco Malfoy. There’s also an in-depth gameplay system that allows players to learn the ropes of all the positions in the fictional sport.
Quidditch Champions also features various modes for players to delve into, so here’s what each one entails.
All game modes
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has launched with four game modes, all offering a unique gameplay experience and allowing players to test their skills in various ways.
Campaign
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions features a career mode that can be played solo or with up to three other friends via online co-op.
The Campaign is broken down into four Cup Matches that take players to iconic locations from the Wizarding World:
- The Weasley Burrow Garden Cup
- The Hogwarts House Quidditch Cup
- The Triwizard Schools Quidditch Cup
- The Quidditch World Cup
While The Weasley Burrow Garden Cup acts as the game’s tutorial, teaching players about each position and how to use them, the rest let players progress through a Quidditch career.
Each Cup has the player choose a team to play for – whether that’s a Hogwarts House, magic school, or country. After that, they’ll play through a placement or qualification round before entering an elimination bracket (or, in the case of the Triwizard Schools, the finals) to try an emerge victorious.

Competitive PvP
The star attraction of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, PvP mode is an online competitive experience, that lets players battle it out on the field against other Quidditch teams and test their skills.
To start, players have to pick which position to cover outside of Chaser, which everyone has access to. Those confident in their skills can pick “Any Position,” which matches you to the first available position.
Exhibition Matches
The game includes an Exhibition Mode for those who want to familiarize themselves with the mechanics of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions or simply enjoy a more casual experience.
You’ll be able to pick your teams, map, and difficulty and can choose to play alone or in teams of up to three people via online co-op.
While your opponents in this mode are AI-controlled, you also have the option to select what team you’re up against.
Open Practice
Finally, for those who just want a casual experience or to improve their skills in a low-stakes environment, there’s Open Practice mode.
Here, players can customize the practice setup, which includes how many Chasers are on each team and whether they have a Keeper, Beater, and/or Seeker. You can also customize the difficulty.
Additionally, there are optional Practice Tasks available, which will help test your skills for each position.
