Gran Turismo 7 is receiving constant updates from Polyphony Digital and the 1.17 update is keeping the content train rolling with new cars to use and tracks to race them on.
We’re only a few months removed from the release of Gran Turismo 7 and whilst there’s still already a huge ton of amazing content, as we covered in our extensive review, the devs are showing no signs of stopping with Gran Turismo 7.
Update 1.17 is the latest patch for the racing simulation game and even though it’s not set to make any groundbreaking changes to the game, Gran Turismo 7 fans are set to benefit from it.
GT7 1.17 update release date and time
The 1.17 update is gearing up to go live on June 22 at 11:00 pm PDT and June 23 at 7 am BST.

As soon as the hour strikes at these respective times, players should be able to immediately set the new update to download to acquire the new raft of content.
Gran Turismo 7 update 1.17 patch notes
As we’ve said, there aren’t tons of alterations to look out for in terms of gameplay, but merely new content being dropped into Gran Turismo 7.
New cars
The headline addition has to be the long-awaited, return of the Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special ’98 – AKA Pikes Peak Escudo – a monstrous powerhouse of a vehicle that long-term fans of the franchise will be instantly familiar with. It’s been 10 years since we’ve seen it in Gran Turismo, but it’s back!
Additionally, a new GT Vision car is on the way in the form of the Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.3 Version) which is a simply stunning-looking piece of craftsmanship and will inevitably want a lot of your credits.

The final vehicle on its way is the 1932 Ford Roadster and it couldn’t look any more vintage if it tried. An authentic hotrod, the Ford Roadster will make a fine piece in anyone’s car collection.
New track
Gran Turismo 7 already offers a copious amount of energetic and varied rack tracks for you to tear up, but the 1.17 update is increasing the total with Watkins Glen International.
This New York-based track has plenty of opportunities to go fast and naturally provides more Circuit Experience for you to gain.
New menus
Another tiny but cool detail is the incoming arrival of new menus to complete. Players will be able to undertake the following goals and there’s also information on when they will become available too.
- Toyota 86 Collection: Opens at Collector Level 20
- Honda Type R Collection: Opens at Collector Level 20
- Rotary Engine Collection: Opens at Collector Level 32
