Fresh Cyberpunk 2077 screenshots show how breathtaking the game really is

During Gamescom 2019 on August 20-24, Polish developer CD PROJEKT RED uploaded over 18 new screenshots for Cyberpunk 2077 on Twitter, which shows how insanely breathtaking the game is as we get closer to its 2020 release date.

Gamescom 2019 is winding down, as its last day is August 24. The international games convention is held in Cologne, Germany, where the top publishers and developers in the industry show off their latest games and tech.

Perhaps more than any other title shown off there, CD PROJEKT RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is without a doubt one of the most anticipated titles of 2020. And during the convention, the Polish developer released 18 new screenshots showing how breathtaking the game is gearing up to be.

New Cyberpunk 2077 screenshots

The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account uploaded a plethora of never-before-seen screenshots to celebrate the convention. The beautiful shots show a variety of subjects from locations, to cars, NPCs, and even gameplay.

But what stands out in particular is the details on the characters themselves. In several of the shots, we get a look at some intricate character designs, and they’re insanely detailed.

One of the biggest features being touted for next gen games is a rendering technique called ray tracing. Leading the charge, Nvidia has teamed up with Cyberpunk 2077 to pair the tech to push the graphics to a new level.

Nvidia decided to get in on the action, as their official Twitter also uploaded new screenshots of the game, showing off the ray tracing technology. “Feast your eyes on these beautiful new #Cyberpunk2077 ray-traced screenshots from Gamescom.” it said.

Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay stream

The Polish developer announced that it will be doing a gameplay stream at the end of August. But while at Gamescom, the press got to experience a new demo, which showed off the various builds and weapons in the play. 

 IGN’s Matt Purslow, detailed one of the futuristic weapons you can use. “You’ve got guns that you can literally tag people, and you’ve got homing bullets. Like the gun from Fifth Element”.

The highly anticipated game is releasing on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 16th 2020.
