Nightingale is a brand-new survival game developed by Inflexion Games that is set for an early access release, but does it have enemy-level scaling in the co-op mode?
Nightingale takes you on an adventure to the Fae realms where you dive into procedurally generated worlds while facing intimidating challenges either solo or with friends. This leads to the question of whether the game‘s enemies will have level-scaling or not when in co-op.
It’s a system that is employed in several games to ensure that the bosses do not become too easy. Here is what we know about level-scaling in Nightingale.
Will Nightingale have level-scaling in co-op mode?
No, Nightingale will not feature any form of level-scaling in co-op mode. You need to manually change the difficulty level, depending on what you or your friends feel is acceptable for a particular realm.

This information was confirmed by the developers through February 15’s Developer Update video. This is a welcoming change as it ensures you enjoy the game in a way that is fun yet challenging at the same time, without being stressful.
Nightingale is a survival game, which means the Fae realms are dangerous and the procedural generation will pose even more challenges as every journey will be new for you. Therefore, maintaining a stable difficulty level will ensure that players do not get overwhelmed while playing Nightingale.
