To enable play selection in Road to Glory simply hit Y (on Xbox) or Triangle (on PlayStation) at any play screen.
When play selection is activated, the two locked boxes next to the desired play call will be unlocked and you’ll be given three different options for alternative plays.
You’ll only be allowed to activate play selection a limited number of times but can get more opportunities by increasing your coach’s trust in you.
What is play selection in College Football 25?
Depending on your level of Coach Trust in Road to Glory, you get a specific amount of play changes per game. When you are just starting, that number will be around ten, and by the end, you will have 25 or more.
When you choose to use a play change, you get a choice of three plays to choose from. It will always be the same selection of three plays, which changes depending on which program you play for.

- Excelling academics and raising your GPA
- Performing well in training exercises
Completing passes, a long run or a touchdown will increase Coach Trust. The bigger the play, the bigger the impact, and the more Trust will be awarded.
Additionally, Coach Trust can be earned through practice sessions and doing well in school. Therefore, make sure to devote Energy in the Weekly Agenda towards studying, and practice every week.
Keep in mind that you can also lose Coach Trust by executing poor plays on the field, so avoid making bad plays whenever you can. Ultimately, earning more trust from is the best way to get more freedom overall during games with the help of play selection.
