Black Myth: Wukong’s launch is almost here, and there are a couple of different editions to get along with a pre-order bonus.
FromSoftware fans are almost certain to love Black Myth: Wukong, which is reinterpreting the legendary Journey to the West. It has all kinds of characters, powers, and impactful boss battles torn straight out of the mythology books and given a new coat of paint.
Black Myth’s pre-orders are now available. So if you’ve just come from the Elden Ring DLC and want a new game to clash with fearsome warriors and awe-inspiring dragons, here’s what you need to know.
All pre-order editions
Black Myth: Wukong has two different editions available for pre-order:
- Black Myth: Wukong ($59.99)
- Includes the full game
- Black Myth: Wukong Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99)
- Includes the full game, along with exclusive weapon, equipment, curio, plus the Music Library, featuring a selection of music from the game’s soundtrack
Both editions of the game will release on August 20, 2024, however the Digital Deluxe Edition will be available to upgrade to if you decide you want the extra content later on.
The Deluxe Edition comes with many incredible physical extras, including collectibles ripped straight out of the game and a stylish steel case.
The Deluxe Edition artifacts are comprised of a stamp and postcard set, as well as the Thunderstone ring, Wind Chime necklace, Golden Sun Crow pin, The Constricting Headband replica headwear, and the Chaos at the Peach Banquet wall scroll.

Black Myth: Wukong will also launch with a Collector’s Edition, containing everything present in the Deluxe edition and more. The Collector’s Edition also comes with an expanded steel case and the Confront Destiny protagonist figurine, as well as a Teaching of the Heart Sutra wall scroll and warranty certificate.
With all eyes locked on this game since its first promising trailer, many will have already decided whether or not to dive into the world of Black Myth.
Pre-order bonus
By pre-ordering any edition of Black Myth: Wukong before its release on August 20, you’ll also gain immediate access to the Trailblazer’s Scarlet Gourd in-game item.
This item can be obtained normally by progressing in the game, but locking in your pre-order will give you access to it immediately. To collect the Trailblazer’s Scarlet Gourd, directly claim it at the Keeper’s Shrine (Respawn Point) during the early stages of the game.
