Best Star Wars Unlimited deck overall: Boba Fett Overwhelming
While the Boba Fett Leader card has become the most prestigious in the community, topping the list of the most expensive Star Wars Unlimited cards for its Showcase variant, it isn’t without good reason. Boba himself is an incredibly powerful Leader, completely bucking the standard tempo of a game with his resource-readying powers.

Closing out day one of Gen Con 2024, the biggest North American competition we’ve seen thus far for Star Wars Unlimited, Troy Yamaguchi piloted his Han Solo mono deck to a 7-0 record. Taking on all comers and remaining flawless, this deck, while not perfect in all situations, is indeed the deck to beat in early Set 2.
The core idea of this deck is to control not only the board but, to a degree, what your opponent does, too. With cards like Change of Heart, Cunning, and Waylay, you can control the tempo. With the likes of Spark of Rebellion and Qi’Ra, you’re able to see your opponent’s hand more often than not. Then, with plenty of ambush backing it up, you can pick your battles wisely.

Qi’Ra Green emerges as top prospect in Star Wars Unlimited tournaments
As the first Set 2 Leader on the list, Qi’Ra joins the rankings as one of the most formidable deck archetypes in Star Wars Unlimited today. While not a cheap deck by any stretch, with plenty of Legendaries rounding this one out, if you can get your hands on the full batch of cards, your opponent will be struggling to keep up.
Crafted by Star Wars Unlimited player and content creator ‘woooo‘, this Qi’Ra deck also happened to go 7-0 on a different day at Gen Con, meaning it can more than carry its weight at even the toughest of events.
Ramping up to drop tons of late-game finishers on the board, the idea here is to control much of the early game with hard-removal events in order to survive until you can dominate the board. Keeping Units alive with Qi’Ra’s ability is also vital, and her flip turn can completely swing momentum in your favor if timed just right.

Next comes one of the more prolific deck types in Star Wars Unlimited’s meta today, the Sabine rush deck. Popularized early on, especially as countless newcomers learn the fundamentals, this aggressive archetype gives players little room to breathe with barely a few turns to try and slow the pace.

Not to mention, this particular aggro deck type can be relatively inexpensive while Boosters are hard to come by. Without relying on costly Legendary cards and focusing on cheaper units that synergize well, you can have yourself a strong deck without emptying the wallet.
Combining the right Rebel and Raid-based units along with Sabine’s Action Ability makes for some devastating early damage. Topping it off, the Leader card can be dropped onto the board as early as turn four, making the relentless push incredibly difficult to counteract.

Another Set 2 Leader, Kylo Ren has emerged as one of the more popular picks in recent weeks. If Sabine isn’t quite scratching the aggro itch for you, look no further than the Rash and Deadly Kylo deck.
With a Leader ability and in-play effect all designed around discard, you want to be top-decking more often than not. Keeping cards in your hand is far from ideal, so we prioritize low-cost heavy-hitters to really ramp up the pace.
While it can be weak against extremely slow control decks, examples of which are further down, as top-decking can leave you out of steam after a few turns, the entire focus here is to end the game as quickly as possible. Play your hand just right, and this one should be over before your opponent can stop the bleeding and drop any real heavy hitters on their side of the board.

While quite costly, especially given the requirement for 3x Darth Vader unit cards, not to mention more Legendary cards like the Devastator and Superlaser Blast, it’s far from an affordable option for those just starting out. Best Star Wars Unlimited deck for Resource ramping: Papa Palpatine’s Lab
The general idea when combining Palpatine and the Energy Conversion Lab base is to out-ramp your opponent. In essence, overwhelm them with the sheer amount of Resources and thus, Units on your side of the board. With cards like Superlaser Technician and Admiral Motti, Palpatine’s Action ability can benefit you greatly in the long run, while the likes of Resupply will further boost you out of the early game.
With Resources in your favor, it’s then a matter of dominating the field with tons of beefy late-game drops like Devastator, Reinforcement Walker, 97th Legion, and the like. While susceptible to extremely aggressive rush decks, with the right draws and the right strategy, this Palpatine deck can give you the upper hand in just a few turns.
