Best XDefiant M1911 build: Class loadouts for recoil & damage

M1911 pistol in XDefiantUbisoft

Having the right secondary weapon at your disposal is a key part of XDefiant. For this, the M1911 is one of the strongest options available thanks to its high rate of fire and accuracy, especially when using these meta XDefiant builds and loadouts.

The M1911 is a great weapon to turn to in a pinch when your primary runs out of ammo, and you don’t have time to reload. While it won’t be an ideal option to take out an enemy at full health, it certainly is strong enough to finish off a target that is already damaged.

Though it lacks the punchiness of the D50 or the lethality of the 686 Magnum, the M1911 is still a fantastic jack-of-all-trades secondary. If you enjoy using a traditional sidearm with no notable flaws, the M1911 is the gun for you.

To get the most out of the M1911, here are a couple of loadouts that you can use to make it a great backup option in XDefiant.

To make the most out of the M1911 in XDefiant, you will want to equip the Barrel Extender to increase its effective range, allowing you to deal more damage from further away. The Reflex optic can also help with that, giving you a cleaner line of sight when aiming down sights.

Using the Heavy Grip is a great option for producing better recoil with the M1911, making the pistol easier to use. To round the build off, use the Extended Mag which gives you more shots per magazine, so that you don’t have to worry as much about running out of ammo in the middle of a duel.

You’ll want to maximize the damage range with the M1911 with this XDefiant loadout, which is why you need to equip the Barrel Extender. This greatly boosts damage dealt when trying to extend the pistol’s effective range.

As for the Heavy Grip, it provides better recoil control to help make shots more accurate, which will be further aided by the Red Dot optic to give you an easier way to line up your target.

Finally, the Fast Mag helps you reload faster so that if you do need to reload in a bind, you can easily do that and still make sure your opponent goes down before you do.

Best M1911 loadout for low recoil

Here are the attachments to improve recoil with the M1911, and make the pistol as accurate as possible:

  • Muzzle: Brake
  • Optic: Reflex
  • Rear Grip: Heavy Grip
  • Magazine: Fast Mag

For the best recoil control possible, you will want to use the Brake and Heavy Grip. Although these attachments do reduce range and ADS speed, it is worth the trade-off for the greatly improved recoil they provide.

The Fast Mag is perfect for reloading quicker which is never a bad thing when in the middle of a firefight. Although it does give a 10% penalty to ADS Speed, this is negligible as the M1911’s handling is so fast in the first place.

Finally, the Reflex is always a solid optic to have on your weapon builds, as it makes it easier to aim and track targets. If you aren’t landing shots, the other attachments won’t matter, making this an obvious pick.
