The PS5 library has already got a fantastic library of exclusives, but there are even more coming in 2024.

PlayStation has always had an impressive library of exclusive games and they show no signs of slowing down with the PS5.

The titles you can only play on the current-gen Sony console are always expanding and they typically highlight the DualSense controller and ultra-fast SSD extremely well.

Upcoming PS5 exclusives

2023 was a big year for Sony with games including Horizon Forbidden West, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releasing exclusively for PS5, and 2024 looks to be just as big for the current-gen console.

Until Dawn Remake

Until Dawn, released in 2015 for PlayStation 4, is finally getting a remake. The game is being developed by Ballistic Moon, a studio started by the co-founders of Supermassive Games, the developers of the original Until Dawn. This will be Ballistic Moon’s first project ever since the studio’s inception in 2019.

Silent Hill 2 Remake

Silent Hill 2, the horror phenomenon that took the world by storm on PlayStation 2, has finally gotten a confirmed release date for its remake. The game is being developed by Bloober Team, the studio behind games like Observer: System Redux and 2019’s Blair Witch.

While the reception to its combat reveal trailer was highly divisive, with many complaining about how the remake ruined the original feel of the game, it remains to be seen if the remake lives up to the original.

Exclusives with unannounced release dates

With regards to the games listed below, only those coming to PS5 as an exclusive, console exclusive, or timed console exclusive have been included.

So despite Bungie being a part of the PlayStation first-party stable, Marathon isn’t listed because the team has confirmed it’s also in development for Xbox Series X|S.

Astro Bot

A brand new Astro Bot game, the sequel to Astro’s Playroom and the third game in the series launched exclusively on PlayStation 5 to massive success.

Following its predecessor, the developers aimed to make Astro Bot a celebration of PlayStation’s history while also cementing the adorable robot as its own character. It features an abundance of unique platforming levels and appearances from some iconic PlayStation characters in Bot form.

Our review cited it as a must-play for any PS5 owners, so if you haven’t checked it out yet you definitely should.

Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade is a hack-and-slash title from Korean developer Shift Up. Throughout Stellar Blade, you’ll take control of the protagonist Eve, as she navigates a post-apocalyptic world and has to defend herself against the hostile mutant-like foes known as NA:tives.

It’s a game that draws influence from a variety of titles including the Souls series, and the Bayonetta franchise.

Rise of the Ronin

While the first installment in the Remake series, centered almost entirely on the Midgar section from the original 1997 game, Rebirth sees the world open up as Cloud and friends travel across the world in an epic quest to stop Shinra and Sephiroth.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
