Ajax

ROLEACTIVE SKILLSPASSIVE SKILLATTRIBUTE
Tank– Orbit Barrier– Void Walk– Expulsion– HypercubeEvent HorizonNon-Attribute

Ajax is a tanker that utilizes Void Energy thanks to his suit, the Raley MK.5. The outdated military battlesuit absorbed enough Void Energy that Ajax can expertly manipulate it and use it as an impregnable shield to protect his allies and deflect enemy attacks.

This Descendant might not deal high damage, but if you pair it up with another character that does, Ajax rises to the occasion by keeping his teammate alive while hitting targets.

The former chef from Albion can deal continuous damage and manipulate fire. From creating flame zones to throwing giant fireballs and even inflicting Burn on enemies, Blair is one handy Descendant to have on any team but can be quite fragile.

Bunny has a special suit that works as a Biopowert Conversion Device. This means it converts Bunny’s electromagnetic force created by her movements into electricity. However, because the suit is a conversion machine, the energy decreases immediately if Bunny doesn’t move.

This Electric Descendant is considered one of the best of them all due to its unique Arche ability and ultra-high speed that can destroy hordes in seconds.

Enzo’s exceptional intelligence lets him serve as an Executive Officer while his Arche ability allows him to summon inorganic matter like unlimited amounts of rounds for tactical squad use and for bombing-support drones.

Despite not being the most interesting character, Enzo can be useful in Collosi battles as he can provide plenty of buffs for the team while keeping everybody from running out of ammo. More so, he’s the ideal Descendant to use when unlocking Encrypted Vaults.

This DoT Dealer is capable of dealing continuous damage while also having the ability to manipulate Venom and use the venomous substances that her body produces to trap enemies in swamps of toxins.

Article continues after ad

Freyna is ideal for confronting big groups of enemies, as her toxin damage decreases all their health bars simultaneously, though it can be a tad slow. Still, she has good base stats, a solid Defense Mechanism skill, and decent damage.

Gley

the first descendant gley dexertoNexon
ROLEACTIVE SKILLSPASSIVE SKILLATTRIBUTE
Utility Dealer– Frenzied– Life Siphon– Increased Sensory– MassacreThirstNon-Attribute

Gley, a former medic, got her Arche abilities after being kidnapped by the Vulgus. She’s a Utility Dealer who gains strength the more she gnaws on herself and can unleash the rage inside her to quickly subdue her enemies.

Article continues after ad

The proper way to play Gley is by sacrificing HP to gain damage and then recovering such HP by absorbing it from enemies. This makes her the riskiest Descendant to use, but if you master her abilities work, she’s unstoppable.

Additionally, she can buff regular guns to have unlimited ammo and has active skills that are unmatched.

Check how to unlock Gley in the game.

Even though he doesn’t excel in the group, Jayber is a reliable Descendant. As a Utility Dealer, he can summon turrets for assault and recovery to help with mobs and bosses.

Kyle

Bruiser– Repulsion Dash– Magnetic Bulwark– Magnetism Spurt– Superconductivity ThrustersExperienced TechnicianNon-Attribute

Once a captain of the Construction Corps, Kyle is a damage-dealing tank that can generate and manipulate magnetic fields to create barriers or radiate a powerful force to push enemies back.

This very resolute and strict Descendant is very versatile and also the ultimate Tank in the game, as he can divert damage with his shields but also mirror it back to the enemies. Plus – despite common belief – he can move extremely fast when needed thanks to his suit’s special functions.

Lepic

the first descendant lepic dexertoNexon
ROLEACTIVE SKILLSPASSIVE SKILLATTRIBUTE
DPS– Grenade– Overclock– Traction Grenade– OverkillClose CallFire

Lepic is known as The Final Grenadier due to being the lone survivor of the Dauntless 44th Grenadier Squad, where he also lost one of his arms. He attacks with grenades and his prosthetic limb which is extremely powerful and can clear the whole battlefield.

His prosthetic arm is linked to Lepic’s Ecive and Arche, allowing him to infuse explosive Arche into rounds and grenades. Plus, it can also enable him to fire Arche with his mind. He’s incredibly strong and works perfectly against bosses thanks to his array of explosive projectiles.

Luna

ROLEACTIVE SKILLSPASSIVE SKILLATTRIBUTE
Support– Stage Presence– Passionate Stage– Relaxing Act– Delightful StageImprovisationNon-Attribute

Luna is a Support Descendant who grants allies plenty of buffs by using her music. Her active skills can grant SKill Powert, decrease cooldowns, restore team MP, and more.

However, if you happen to be tone-deaf, you better not take Luna to battle, as all her abilities require you to fire on beat to maintain the buffs. If you fail at this, you’ll lose every bonus.

Sharen

the first descendant sharen dexertoNexon
ROLEACTIVE SKILLSPASSIVE SKILLATTRIBUTE
Close-Range Dealer– Cutoff Beam– Active Camouflage– Impact Rounds– Flash ShortswordAssassinatorElectric

Sharen has a full-body prosthetic that grants her incredible powers. As an assassin-type melee dealer with Electric Arche, she can camouflage herself to sneak past her enemies and ambush them, that’s why she’s known as ‘The Assassin in the Shadows’.

This Descendant is great for sneaking into places, gathering intel, sabotaging, and ambushing opponents. However, even though she can deal great burst damage, she’s no use in mobs.

Article continues after ad

If you want some Amorphous Materials, you’ll have to take Sharen with you, as she’s the only one who has the required ability – Active Camouflage – to extract additional drops from Vulgus Strategic Outposts.

To get the best out of Sharen, you can refer to our best build guide.

Valby

the first descendant valby dexertoNexon
ROLEACTIVE SKILLSPASSIVE SKILLATTRIBUTE
Constant DPS– Bubble Bullet– Plop Plop– Laundry– Laundry BombWater IntakeNon-Attribute

Valby is the most elusive Descendant as she has the unique ability to turn into water anytime and anywhere. However, this skill is limited as she can’t maintain that shape for long.

Article continues after ad

As a tanky dealer of continuous damage, Valby is extraordinary at both dealing with mobs and bosses, as she can use her skills to coat the ground with liquid (which pairs nicely with Electric Descendants) and has great debuffs for tough enemies.

Check the best build for Valby in the game.

the first descendant viessa dexertoNexon
ROLEACTIVE SKILLSPASSIVE SKILLATTRIBUTE
Debuffer– Frost Shards– Frost Road– Cold Snap– BlizzardIce SphereChill

Viessa is a very young Descendant with the Arche ability to control the cold at will. This Debuffer uses Chill to freeze enemies in place, unleashing Cold Snap-like attacks as she makes her way through them. She can also increase her movement speed and is the only one who can break Chill Void Shards.

Article continues after ad

Her freezing powers work great with both mobs and bosses. Plus, this character can be very useful to track down and attack Vulgus, as they become colder than their surroundings and Viessa’s suit can use thermal sensors to spot them.

Yujin

the first descendant yujin dexertoNexon
ROLEACTIVE SKILLSPASSIVE SKILLATTRIBUTE
Support– Solidarity Healing– Restructure Serum– Stimulant Spray– Hyperreactive Healing GroundStop OverreactingNon-Attribute

The Gruff Medic, Yujin, is a medical officer who serves as the Medical Corps Captain. As a healer, Yujin uses his drones to keep his teammates alive while also granting them buffs. The disadvantage is that his Arche ability has no effect on him.

Article continues after ad

Despite having a support role, Yujin can deal ridiculous AoE damage, making him an excellent Descendant for mob control. And even though he is not good against Collosi, he is still a great teammate to have as he can keep his allies alive while also buffing their Firearm ATK and Skill Power.

As the game requires different abilities from every character, some might be better at some tasks than others. For example, Lepic is great for Void Intercept battles but is not that good at farming missions.

To give you a more general look at where the Descendants fall, this overall tier list will categorize the characters on how well they are in several activities.
