As Fortnite players have been getting to grips with all of the new Season 7 content, some have noticed a potential problem with sniping since the update.

Reddit user Luuu90 has posted a video online which seems to show that the crosshairs for sniper rifles is now off-centred, following the game’s most recent v7.00 patch.
The video below, which was uploaded on December 9, is an aiming demonstration which compares both the crosshairs for the rare assault rifle and the epic bolt-action sniper rifle.
It shows that if a player shoots with their AR and then switches to their sniper, the sniper aim hangs over to the left – a potential bug that has been present in previous patches and then removed.

Nevertheless, some people in the comments section of the video think that this is not actually a glitch, but more an intentional move from Epic Games to solve a previous problem.
One comment, from money_from_88, said: “This has been in the game all year. It keeps people from quickscoping.”
“More importantly, it keeps people from quick switching between 2 heavy snipers. Break the wall with the first, and kill with the second. All without having to aim,” said RedZaturn.

Some other players decided to have a bit more fun with it. Redditor iafx said: “I think there is a bug in my game that affects ALL of my shots”, which is very improbable to say the least.
For those that haven’t played it yet, Fortnite Season 7 is live with an all-new snow biome. New locations include Happy Hamlet, Frosty Flights and Polar Peak, while Flush Factory and Risky Reels have been scrapped in the new patch.
