Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins doesn’t criticize Epic Games often but his massive following means that when he does, a lot of people see it, even if it is made in good humor.
Widely regarded as the ‘face’ of Fortnite, Ninja has been glowing in his reviews of both the game and its developers, Epic Games, throughout most of 2018.
However, that changed somewhat during a recent stream when the 27-year-old voiced his frustration at the developers not adding a ‘Ninja’ skin to the game or promoting him as much as the other creators.
“Fortnite Tweeted out ‘Looking for a fun, laid-back Fortnite stream? We’ve got you covered! Drop in to @ Not Ninja’s stream because we don’t want a Ninja skin in the game’,” Ninja said in a clip that was shared on Reddit.
He then went on to say that he was trolling and not really that angry, but concluded with: “I’ve only been streaming their game since pretty much it came out, advertising to about a billion people, you know? Yeah, I don’t deserve anything!”

Having now played the game almost exclusively for a year, and becoming the biggest streamer on Twitch in the process, Ninja’s wish to have his own skin in the game is an understandable one.
The streaming sensation has amassed over 11.5 million followers on Twitch, over 18.5 million YouTube subscribers and just under 3.5 million followers on Twitter, but a Ninja Fortnite skin would certainly be the cherry on top!
No matter how he feels about not having his own skin, Ninja is still a big supporter of Epic and Fortnite – something that he has made clear on a number of occasions.
